This is what I use the whole time, day in, day out. The Elinchrom Quadra really is a stand out flash product, small and yet punchy as hell. It just hits that sweet spot of being portable enough to make speed lights redundant and yet with enough power so that you leave the mono blocks at home. The flash head itself is tiny (unlike ProFoto) meaning you can sling them in your carry on luggage or on a bike. They do a very slick mini soft box and Octa and Lastolite now do an adaptor ring to fit their range. For the future it would be great to get a more advanced battery which would shrink the unit even further and maybe even a constant light LED option running off the same power source…you can but dream.

yes – excellent kit , finally about to invest in the Elinchrome Quadra myself but may just hang on for the even lighter weight and more energy efficient Lithium-ion Battery.
I think there is a lithium battery coming out in June for about £300, more flashes and less weight
There is Paul – its a lovely thing, small ( makes whole unit tiny ), recharges in no time and doubles usage…can’t wait to get one, ta Jim
